• Purpose and objectives of the project:
The main goal of the project
- contribute to the fight against stereotypes and discrimination based on gender and social norms, the prevention of violence against women and girls (VAWG) in Moldova through an extensive awareness-raising campaign, presenting non-verbal performances by the MADE Theater, out-reach events, including flash mobs, television debates in different regions of Moldova.Information Campaign Activities:
• 2 - day training for project volunteers - done• Development and printing of information leaflets - the 2nd edition is printed
• Carrying out 7 flash mobs and distribution of booklets - done
• Broadcasting flash mob videos on local TV channels is in progress
Events of the national tour of theater performances:
• Creation and distribution of promotional materials before performances;
• Casting actors;
• script development, rehearsals and planning a national tour;
• Premiere in Chisinau;
• 15 theater performances - national tour; - 6 performances have already been held and will be held
• Round table in Comrat with all participants and stakeholders of the project;
• Preparation and broadcasting of a social video on the project topic is in progress.
Main results / products of the project:
- 7 Target Communities have the knowledge and tools to combat stereotypes and discrimination based on sex and to promote favorable social norms that will serve to prevent violence against women and girls (VAWG) through an extensive information campaign, including the distribution of information leaflets on this topic, providing 7 flash mobs in different regions of Moldova with trained volunteers based on local NGOs and social centers - Vesta's partners in Ocnita, Cimislia, Causeni, Tvardita, Ceadir-Lunga, Copceac, Comrat.- Providing an open dialogue through the national tour of the theater’s social play in 15 settlements of the Republic of Moldova: Chisinau, Tvarditsa, Kopcak, Leovo, Kongaz, Soroca, Cadir-Lunga, Ocnita, Cimislia, Balti, Ungeni, Rezina, Causeni, Orhei, Calarasi, informing women on possible solutions to attract the attention of beneficiaries to the problems of sexist stereotypes, sexual harassment and the gender distribution of social and behavioral roles.
