Our public organization "VESTA" continues to carry out an action to help elderly people, lonely, poor people in getting minimal anti-virus protection. As part of the action, we agreed with women - professional seamstresses that they would work for free - they would sew reusable masks, and we would distribute them to the population. Our hospitals, clinics, mayors and economic agents - provided us with the necessary materials, and now we sew reusable protective masks (for the population, doctors, medical personnel, for social workers in the villages, for local police officers). We also work with them all in working with victims of domestic violence, and in this case we help them protect their employees in the workplace. And they help us distribute remedies to the public. And we also received the support of our campaign from local sponsors and partners, as well as the National Coalition "Life without Domestic Violence" with financial support from UN Women. 3 more women's organizations, members of the NGO “Alliance of Women of the South of Moldova”, from 3 neighboring regions of Moldova and 2 youth NGOs, joined our campaign. We work remotely, observing all the requirements of the State of Emergency, and so far we have been able to provide patients with polyclinics, large mothers and single elderly people with medical masks through doctors and police officers. Now we have the opportunity to provide protective disposable overalls with glasses, shoe covers and gloves for the district Health Centers and hospitals. In Chadyr-Lungsky district, the action to help the population is coordinated by Ekaterina Kozhokar, chairman of the NGO Center for Women's Initiative - tel. 079542350. In Vulcanesti, Valentina Ponomarenko, administrator of the Day Care Center for Victims of Domestic Violence at the NGO Vesta, tel. 069866411.
